Wellbeing support

Inclusive wellbeing support for women, men, and anyone from the LGBT+ community who have experienced historic abuse from an intimate partner.

Gender-based violence can not only affect your safety but it can make you lose touch with who you are, what you enjoy, your interests and confidence. We offer one-to-one support and a safe space for you to reconnect with yourself through:

  • Support to try a new hobby or return to one you enjoy.
  • A space to connect and relax, maybe through art, learning something new, journalling, reading, board games, mindfulness, hiking; the list goes on!
  • Someone to accompany you to a community project or a fitness class or support to join one.
  • Opportunities for both one-to-one support and group work.
  • A chance to sit down and have a coffee or a cuppa in our Safe Harbour.

Taking part

Support is guided by you and at your pace. We take a therapeutic and proactive approach to wellbeing, focussed on interests, learning and connection.

We will regularly review your risk and needs; we have a duty of care to keep you safe. Your privacy will be respected and your support is confidential. The only exception would be where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself, others or there are child protection concerns. This service is for adults only and is limited to improving your wellbeing. If you need support beyond this, please contact us.
